It's a lot easier for me to watch movies at home, and I quite enjoy it. But sometimes I like getting out. Saturday we're going to a theater to go see Lucky Number Slevin.

Hmm I'm torn. On one hand when you go to the cinema you're viewing the movie on a GIANT screen in true wide-screen & proper surround sound, plus the whole pigging out on hot-dogs & giant (watered down) drinks experience.
However you have to deal with people being noisy, people obstructing your view, uncomfortable seats & sticky floors.

At home you've got the added bonus of being able to pause the film if you suddenly need the toilet, nobody obstructing your view, cosy seats, unlimited food & drink at your fingertips & nobody making noise.

I'm not surprised you haven't missed the cinema with your 57" HDTV

I have a puny 32" wide-screen TV with 5.1 surround sound so my home movie viewing is quite good.

The last film I saw at the cinema was Ice Age 2....
