A note from the author and administrator of HTBlog.net.

Hello,

My name is Henning Hoffmann, and I post all the articles in HTBlog.net.

I am a software developer, and have a wonderful family comprised of my wife, my two daughters, and my son.

I have had a home theater for many years and it’s gone through many upgrades. My latest upgrade was to buy an HDTV. That purchase was the inspiration for creating HDBlog.net. Before that, I bought some Linn 5140 and Linn 5120 speakers for my front array. I had to buy them used because frankly there’s no way I can buy good speakers like that new.

I want my next purchase to be a Linn 5125 amplifier to drive my speakers (used of course). Then I’ll want to upgrade to a preprocessor with all the latest stuff. (Right now I have a HK AVR500 receiver.) While I’d like to buy that used as well, for the cost savings, I’m unsure about that.
